Pietermaritzburg – A Bulwer farmer was shot in the arm during an attack by unknown gunmen on his farm on Sunday afternoon. According to provincial police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane, the gunmen opened fire on the farmer, 45, wounding him on the left arm.

The attack happened at about 13:00 on Sunday afternoon. He was rushed to hospital for treatment. “The motive is unknown at this stage.

A case of attempted murder was opened at Bulwer SAPS for investigation and no arrests have been made,” Zwane said.The KZN Agricultural Union’s Koos Marais called on police to do “everything in their means” to arrest the perpetrators.
